 | Cats with Special Needs |
The Cat Hospital of Wichita has been my single choice of
veterinarian care since 1993. I have come to rely on Dr. Jones and her staff
for their consistent dedication, personal attention and highest quality of
professional services. Moreover, Dr. Jones takes the extra step of providing
the necessary education about meeting the needs of both of my cats, one a
diabetic over 15 years old, and the other with special dietary requirements.
(You can actually say “overweight” if you want to.) And whenever one has
become ill, not only was the correct diagnosis and medicine provided, Dr.
Jones demonstrated unwavering respect and compassion toward my cats and me.
Too, when it was time for them to come home, she clearly communicated
instructions and demonstrated the administration of medicines.
I thank The Cat Hospital not only for the excellent care
given my cats but for also helping me be a better cat owner. |
 | Emergency Rescue |
Dr. Jones has seen us through emergencies from baby
kittens thrown out of car windows to special needs cats that have medical
problems that won't get better. Through all of this, her knowledge
and obvious love of cats has shown through. She has a reassuring
"bedside" manner that lets cat lovers and cats know she really cares.
Dr. Jones has been truly a blessing to us
and our family of cats. She has handled and treated the many modes
of panic and countless emergencies we have with the utmost gentle
professionalism. Even in the most trying of
situations she is gentle and in control. She and her staff have won
a special place in our hearts.

 | Hyperthyroid Detection and Treatment |
|
| Sam was losing weight in spite
of having a ravenous appetite. Dr. Jones diagnosed Sam with
hyperthyroidism, a condition not uncommon in aging cats. She
recommended a trip to K-State Vet school, where Sam received radioactive
iodine treatment which returned his thyroid to normal levels. |
| Dr. Jones
recognizes that elder cats benefit from thorough
preventive and maintenance health care. Many disease conditions
and age-related changes in older cats can be slowed down or even prevented
through the proper implementation of a program of good nutrition, weight
management, moderate exercise, vaccinations, parasite control, grooming,
dental care and diagnostic testing. Sam
loves to visit Dr. Jones and has stayed in her
boarding facility several times. |

|
Carol Hemphill I've been coming to
the Cat Hospital for many years because it is for cats only! It can be quite stressful for cats that aren't used to dogs to have
to go the the vet and hear the dogs barking. The Cat Hospital's environment is calm and peaceful and well worth my drive across town to get
my kitties cared for.
I appreciate the fact that I don't just feel like a number...she treats
every cat owner as special.
Dr. Jones was so kind, gentle and patient with me when I called
her daily about my little female, Abby, who had chronic urinary tract
problems; she never gave up on trying to help Abby get well. Although she couldn't make
the decision, she encouraged and helped me as I made the decision to put
down my 18 yr old female Nermal who had a tumor in her stomach.
Dr. Jones has
helped me work with two feral cats, Solo and Studmuffin, that
have now become house kitties. Recently I took in Bently, a kitten
with a deformed leg. Dr. Jones has been helpful as I deal with
some of the difficulties I'm having with him.
I highly recommend the Cat Hospital, Dr. Jones and her staff. From day one
I have appreciated her and am so glad I can bring my little brood to her.
She is a talented, kind and caring vet...I wouldn't go to anyone else!
