in Crisis - An Animal Safety-house fostering Program

This is a program started by Dr. Jones.
A woman that is being abused at home can foster her pet with Pets in Crisis
while she is staying at the Women's shelter. This is a free service and the
animal is placed in a loving home while the woman is in the shelter. National
statistics show that a great percentage of women will refuse or delay leaving
their home due to a pet that will be left behind with the abuser. And, the
abuser, can use the animal as a way of continuing to control the victim. We
coordinate this through the YWCA their web address is
www.ywcaofwichita.org. Pets in
Crisis doesn't have a website as of this time, we are hoping that YWCA will
add it to their website soon.
